| What are your plans for the holiday weekend? |
As always, my holiday weekend plans include family and compassionate food. We'll be attending a Barn Warming at Animal Place here in Grass Valley, CA, to enjoy a vegan picnic and visit with the animals. If you live nearby, come join us! If not, some other farmed animal sanctuaries will be having Fourth of July picnics with the animals to celebrate their independence: Farm Sanctuary in either Orland, CA or Watkins Glen, NY, and Animal Acres in Acton, CA. Visits to these rescue farms support a compassionate cause and make fun outings for the entire family.
If you're packing a picnic for your animal-loving adventure or other holiday weekend plans, here are some menu suggestions: Tuna(less) Salad Sandwiches, Potato Salad, and iced mint tea.
